3. Indian Institute of Technology Delhi

7. Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IITR)

Founded in 1847, the Roorkee Indian Institute of Technology is the seventh IIT to be recognized as an institution of national importance by the Government of India. The college is the oldest Engineering Institute in Asia, which later received university status in 1949. Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee is a public technical research university located in Uttarakhand, formerly known as Thomason College of Civil Engineering.
